Task #8 For Becoming a Lovelier Woman

Certain behaviour can damage our image but very often we don't even realize it.

I speak from experience; there are times that we need someone to really open our eyes and be sincere in order to makes us aware of certain things we do.

Only those who love and care about us are willing to go through the trouble of telling us a few truths at the right moment.

Remember this: People that don't care about us will never go through the trouble of correcting and helping us.

Today I was thinking about certain behaviour that make women lose their beauty, although very often they don't even realize that this is happening.

The other day I walked into a restaurant and a group of women seated at a table were the center of all attention. They were quite young and they were laughing way too loudly, they yelled as they spoke and it was clear that they enjoyed being the center of attention but they were being very indiscreet...

And so are we when we act like this.

Task #8 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

"From now on, you are going to observe if you have this sort of behaviour and you will change."
If you speak too loudly then you will practice speaking softly.

Keep an ear out for loud and scandalous laughter as well.

Let's play close attention to these details

  1. Hey Mrs. Nanda(:
I agree with you. When woman talk loudly and are disruptive they tend to look really bad. I will observe myself from now on and if I catch myself ever being loud then I will work on that. Thank you very much(:

  3. Sometimes we don't realise our actions annoy others or display a characteristic which we did not intend on displaying. One way in which we can apply this to our lives is to constantly observe and be respectful of other people when in a public environment.

  4. I can agree with this message, because I have done certain things in the past, that made me look horrible and mean. But I'm thankful for people who are competely honest with me and straightforward when it comes to certain situation that will address my actions!!! and I understand the reason for their actions, becasue they truly care for me enough to correct me.

  5. WOW! The Holy Spirit works in marvelous ways! Right before i started reading this post, one of my friend was giving this other girl an advice and telling her some of the truths that she knows and in my mind i was thinking, "Hey God could be using her to speak to you." then when i started reading this post i ran and called her to come and read it as well, because it was exactly what they was talking about!. I will do this task, and ill sure be more careful about how i speak and how i act around others.
-All these different tasks that i have been reading, has shown me different things that i need to change about myself!.
Thank you and may God continue on using you!

  6. This is a very helpful blog. When I was a teenager I liked being loud, i wanted to be the center of attention. I thought being loud was attractive. But when I started coming to church and learning about the word of God, He revealed to me that was not so. I had to make adjustments to the tone of my voice and the things I said. But it all came naturally, without me really trying I became more discreet. thanks for the tips.

  10. This task is really helpful, because I personally don't think it is not nice when you have people talking too loud or making noise when you need just need silent or just a peaceful environment because it shows disrespect so therefore the same rule should applies to us individuals to have consideration of our sorroundings. This is a good challenge to take on board.
    Thanks

  11. Very true! Sometimes we are so involved in our conversation that we forget that there are people around just observing us. By nature many women like to be the center of attention thus many times to accomplish this they just look silly. Like you said we have to start watching out the way we conduct ourselves in public because these actions can damage our image.

  12. ooh my gosh!! that is so true I used to be like that not bcos we want it to get attention but bcos we didn't care about what others think about us, but I know that was wrong and i changed and my friends too; this post reminded me the times we behave terrible thank God we started realized that was not appropriated for ladies.. very good post

  13. Once again this is a very helpful tip that i will start looking into in my behaviour, because speaking loudly and seeking to be centre of attention is not very graceful.
    Thankyou

  14. This blog was very helpful and eye opening!
for the fact that i am trying to change, to stop talking loud at times. I agree this really makes our beauty as women look so ugly. Look like we ahve no respect for ourselves.
But this blog also made me appreciate more the people who actually are sincere with me and tell me the things that i need to change.

  15. I agree with you.A woman can be beautiful but if she is loud and also likes to use bad language she becomes ugly. When I was youger I used to laugh really loud and a maturer and older woman told him it was not polite, I thought she was being mean to me but now I understand that she was taking care of me.

  16. This is so true to tell you the truth I sometimes laugh out loud when I am with friend and tend to call attention. When my friends tell me that I am loud I tend to say to them this is a family thing we're all speaking out aloud in my family. From now on I will speak softer and I will not try to do this as trying is having the intention to fail I will do this because I want to become a Lovelier woman of God. Thank you Mrs Nanda

  18. It is true that we have to be careful with how we portray ourselves, since we really do not know who is watching.

It is true that as a woman of God we should learn to speak softly and not to try to be the center of attention

  20. Hello Mrs Nanda
It not good to speak out or laugh out loud as when you do this you grab unwanted attention. A woman of God must speak softly. Thank you Mrs Nanda i will put this into action

  21. Mrs. Nanda I have to admit that I am loud 90% of the time. Most of the time without even realizing it. From now on I shall make it a point to not be loud and be a lovelier woman.

  22. Wow this was one of my weakness, when i was with my friends I use to laugh a lot and very loud. Just recently when I was in a taxi I realize some young girls laughing call attention, I got so irritated a wondering why are the behavior like this. Its true as a woman of God, those small details that we don't take care of are the one that push people away.

  23. Yes this is true, because i would notice myself being around friends, our behavour would change just like that, girls start to laugh extremely loud and we all seemed to be having a good time by the conversation we're having, which looking back to me seems very inappropriate for a young lady to be acting like that especially in public.

  24. Hi Ms Nanda,

This is very true, many times I've been on the bus with friends & we've spoken loudly but not even realizing how were coming across to other people. There must be a clear difference from those who serve him & those who don't.

Thank you Ms Nanda, May God continue to use you.

    Kisses.
