Task #4 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

Generally when you have free time to think, what kind of thoughts do you have?

You know, like during that long wait for the bus?

And when you’re in the car stuck in terrible traffic?

Or during that long commute to work?

I’m going to tell you what most of you would answer… Worries!

It’s the bills to pay, something that someone said that offended you, something that your husband did, an uncertain future, the unpaid rent, so many things to do and such little time and the list goes on...

That brings you an enormous weight on your shoulders and when you realize it, you’re already in a bad mood and don’t even have the will to smile or speak to anyone.

All of you worries seem to devour you!

If you don’t identify this problem in your life and fight against it, it will bring forth bigger and worst consequences.

Have you noticed the great amount of people being diagnosed with depressions these past few years?

Not to mention (although now mentioning) that these worries make you feel like an old person with a bitter face.

Now I ask: Do all of those worries and stress solve your problems?

Ahhh if it at least solved the problem! We would all be doing very well!

But I’m going to tell you… it doesn’t solve anything!

Look at what the Bible teaches us…

“Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

Task #4 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

“During this Dare, whenever worries come to take away your peace, you are going to pray and place it in God’s hands. If the problem is something that can be solved, ask Him to help you find a solution.”

Please take notice, I’m not saying that you should ignore the problem; instead, you should think of finding a solution and not sink in a sea of negative feelings.

Talking about it with someone and unburdening yourself does you great good and afterwards you will feel like a huge weight came off your shoulders.

I suggest you look for a Universal Church closest to you and talk to a pastor who aside from listening to you will also offer you precious advice…

Task #3 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

Have you had funny experiences asking children what they want to be when they grow up?

Well, I’ve had my share of responses. Generally, children want to be something that they saw and admired in someone.

If their dad is a police officer then they usually want to be one also, right?

I remember being very young and going to the bank with my dad or my mom. I loved it when the ladies helped us, do you know why?

I noticed that they were always well groomed and their nails were always very well done!

For some time I used to tell myself…”When I grow up I’m going to be a bank clerk!”

After some time I noticed that my math teacher was always put together and pretty and I decided that I too was going to be a teacher!!!

Do you know when a child says… “When I grow up I want to be a Sunday school teacher.” Or when the little boy says… “I want to be a pastor when I grow up!!”

Well, they want to “be” what they admire…

In the same way we can be God’s reference to children, teenagers, women, sons and daughters.

Image is very important indeed! It’s not essential but very important!

Therefore, beauty tips will also make part of this Dare.

And today we are going to start by our hands!

One of the first things that attract my attention in a woman are her hands, more precisely, her nails. You can be certain that I’m not the only one.

Our nails say a lot about us, in fact, they shout!

Task #3 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

“From now on you are going to keep your nails well groomed and well cared for all week long.”

Tip: Pick a day of the week to redo your nails (I particularly like Saturday so that on Sunday, which is a special day, they look pretty).

The first step in caring for your nails is to make sure they are at the right length, in other words, not too long or too short. For the Brazilians that are already used to it, remove the cuticles (if you’ve never done this, which is ideal, simply pushing them back with a cuticle stick should be enough.) Finally, choosing the nail polish can be either the finishing touch or a total disaster…

In my opinion you can’t go wrong with a French manicure. Red, wine and grape are colors that look very elegant…

And if you allow me to give my opinion, contrary to the current trend, don’t even think about yellow, green, blue, orange and black!

Look how charming our Big Sister’s nails look in pink. Mrs. Evelyn I can’t see yours!rs

Mrs Ester and Alininha with a French manicure.

And to finish it off, look how charming these two look! Wine and red, lovely!

Task #2 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

Stressed-out Kitty

We will soon see results of the first task, for it is important in three aspects:

1.     Spiritual Growth - Because praying and meditating in His word will lead us to this.

2.     We step on the devil - He’s always accusing us but when we don’t read the bible or speak to God, the devil comes armed with everything and makes a person feel so guilty that she even feels weak and far from God, isn’t that right?

3.     Tithing our Time - We’ll see that we have enough time for everything, but we also have to act.

It isn’t enough for us to tithe, we need to act and that’s where Task #2 comes in…

Task #2 For Become a Lovelier Woman!

“Today you are going to identify things that waste your time and reduce them or eliminate them from your life.”

I’ve prepared the list below to help make things easy for you.

Possible Wasters of Precious Time:

1 -  Internet- Limit the time you spend on the internet (that’s if you don’t depend on it for work). If you don’t set limits, you’re going to forget about time while “surfing” the web.
My Suggestion: Go online for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon and that’s it. Only visit sites that are going to add something to you, like for example, read the blogs that strengthen you spiritually. Make sure that you monitor your time…Start doing this today and tell me how it went tomorrow.

2 - E-mails – Like with the internet, check your emails only two to three times a day, that’s if you receive lots of e-mails. Don’t spend over 30 minutes with them (assuming you don’t use email for work purposes.)

3 -  Television – If you’re a housewife chances are that you’ve picked up the habit of leaving the T.V. on while you do household chores and before you know it, you’ve spent most of your time seduced by some program that you have to rush against time to do everything. You then get angry, turning into a stressed-out kitty (see photo above lol.)
My Suggestion: Set aside a time for watching T.V., never during the day. I suggest it be after all of your tasks are complete, including dinner… Then take a soothing bath and relax while watching a suitable T.V. program. You’ll also notice that you will feel like true heroines, for you’ll have time to do all of your tasks.
A Tip: Exchange watching TV during the day to listening to a Christian radio. Liberty Radio if you are in the UK is a great option, others countries can even listen to it via the internet...

4 -  Sleeping Too Much- Remember that popular saying “Early to bed, early to rise, makes the man healthy, wealthy and wise.” Well, I believe it’s true, if you don’t, then let’s test it out
My Suggestion: Wake up early during these 40 days, it’s better to avoid sleeping over 8 hours (it’s also not recommended to sleep less than 8 hours but I understand that this isn’t possible for everyone…) For those who can, sleeping 1 or 2 hours after lunch will renew and restore your will to get through the remaining tasks… (I know what many of you are going to say… “A nap during the day- I wish!” but remember this is for those who have this possibility.)

5 -  Laziness- This is a terrible enemy. If you are a lazy person, you’ll need to change this scenario; you’ll need to fight against it!
My suggestion: Immediately do the things that you are lazy about doing, even if it’s only during these 40 days (I’m counting on this becoming a habit…

6 - Daydreaming- This can seem like a joke but its serious!!! Have you noticed the times you catch yourself staring into space and daydreaming? That makes us waste time and many times those dreams lead us to remember things from the past which don’t lead us to anything….
My Suggestion: Daydreaming is only worthwhile if we “dream” about God’s word, besides that, stop daydreaming!

7 -  Doing Things Slowly- If we don’t determine a set time for each task, then we’ll do things on our time, in other words, slowly. This leads us to waste time and I know exactly what I’m talking about friends!!
My Suggestion: While organizing your daily tasks, determine a start time and an end time and stick to it, you can be sure that you’ll see great results.

8 - Telephone- That’s right, for many the telephone is a great enemy. They spend too much time texting friends or even talking on the phone and they lose the sense of time.
My Suggestion: Be in control of your time and don’t get lost in long conversations with friends, especially if you speak to each other every day!

That’s all for today friends, now let’s put it into practice…

The First Task - First Fruit

My dears, let’s begin our challenge with something that’s very important and that will be the structure of our challenge, if you don’t do this right, then, it’s better to give up now (never!).

We know that tithe is the firstling, right?

And when we mention tithe, we think about finances, of course.

When we give our tithes we acquire the right to have the things our God has promised…

“Bring the whole tithe into storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Malachi 3:10

Now let’s think…

If you wish to have a prosperous life, tithing is the secret!

Many of us are in a race against time, correct?
Work, children, college, school, housecleaning, etc…

We also need our time to prosper, right? We need it to multiply?!

Well then, we are going to tithe our time for God!
I’ve been doing this and I’ve seen results!

Task #1 to Become a Lovelier Woman
“Every day of the week, during these 40 days, we are all going to offer the tithe of our time to our God.”

I say that it will be during these 40 days because I know that you will see such marvelous results that soon, it will become a habit.

So then, assuming that the first hours, minutes and seconds of your day as soon as you wake are the firstlings of your day, of your time… then every day when you wake up you will speak with God (pray) and meditate on at least on Bible verse.

I suggest that you wake up a bit earlier than usual so that you can do this without being rushed…

I know that for many this will truly be a sacrifice but friends, without sacrifice there’s no success! We are going to get there!!!

Here in Namibia, I joined forces with the pastor’s wives. If you have someone that can join forces with you as well, it’ll help you a lot!

I wake up at 5:45 in the morning, I get ready quickly and I meet up with them to pray and meditate on the Bible- it has been marvelous!

After that, we begin our day on the right foot!

I ask that you give your best in this task so that you can really see the results.

I can already hear the testimonies!

A big kiss and get ready for the new task that will be posted tomorrow!

“Our God will give us wisdom to stretch our time!”

A New Dare!

First was the "Love Dare" for the married women, then there was the "40 Day Dare for the Single Ladies. "

We also had the "Challenge for a Healthy Life", which I'll be relaunching very soon here in the blog for those who want to take care and have a healthy life.

All these challenges were inspired by God and were a success for those who strive to do the tasks.

After that I have prayed and asked ... "Now what? What can we do to be better for God and everyone around us?"

I have searched this direction from God for quite a while, and today it happened!

A big problem I see happening, especially through the numerous emails I receive, is “lack of time”.

I myself, am often caught in this wave so that means that I'll be in this with you, doing and learning tasks.

I’ve already started some tasks for myself and can see results, so I'll share them with you!

You see? You can do it!

Once upon a time there were two girls skating on a frozen lake.
It was a cloudy and cold afternoon and the two girls played carefree.
Suddenly the ice cracked and one of them fell through and got stuck in the gap that formed.
Seeing that her friend was stuck and freezing, the other girl quickly took off one of her skates and started to strike the ice with all of her strength until, finally, she was able to crack it and free her dear friend.
When the firefighters arrived they saw what had happened and asked the girl:
“How did you manage to do this? It’s impossible for someone as small as you and with such fragile hands to break this ice!”
At that moment, a man that was walking by made a wise observation:
“I know how she managed to do it.”
“Can you please tell us how?” They all asked.
“It’s simple.” The man responded.
“There wasn’t anyone around to tell her that she couldn’t do it.”
