For the Single Ladies- What’s in Your Head?

Task #16 for the Single Ladies

You don’t feel like you used to… it a horrible sensation. You want to go back to how you used to be at the beginning but you can’t seem to get there. Sometimes you even question whether God still wants you or really loves you.

You want to be more spiritual, you want to feel God’s presence, but you don’t know where you’ve gone wrong. You feel so far!

You go to church, you want to pray but the words seem to disappear…

You don’t feel the desire to pray or read the Bible.

You try to do everything right, you don’t live in sin, so what is wrong?!

Of course this can be due to many reasons, but I bet I know what is going on…

What have you been filling your head with?

Have you dedicated lots of time to things that have nothing to do with God?

  • Do you watch hours and hours of TV every day?
  • Do you spend time on the internet participating in chats that will take you nowhere?
  • Perhaps, you hold friendships with people who don’t share your same faith and consequently turn your focus to worldly things?

If you answered yes to these questions, then that is the reason why you feel the way you do.

Task #16

“It’s time to change this picture… Begin by cutting back on the hours you spend watching TV and chatting online.

Preferably, avoid that MSN business altogether as it is a waste of time.

Begin to invest in your spiritual life. Use the hours that you spare to meditate in God’s Word, start purposes with God, read a book that will add something to your spiritual life.

Think of other ways to change this situation.”

  2. This is so true!!! Especially if you're young as there is so many things to distract you from becoming closer to God. But it's essential to realise that these things will not last forever. Sabrina, Hackney x
