I would like to share with you some photos of an event we had last Saturday to raise awareness against domestic violence here in in London.
The Sisterhood from all over the world together with all the V Women united in this battle.
Everywhere we went, people couldn’t stop looking, they supported us and many people would approach us to enquire about the event.
After the walk, we recorded a TV show (DKW, a Different Kind of Woman), where we had the presence of some guests to talk about this issue and an audience with women only.
The program was an eye opener and we had Maria Constant as one of the guests; a survivor of domestic violence and presently a member of our RAHAB group that deals with cases of abuse. Many felt emotional listening to her story and soon after the program ended, people looked for the RAHAB advisers for help.
