Task #29 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman

Nowadays if you are the type of person that can’t manage to do more than one thing at a time, you are going to get left behind.

The demand is that we “have our cake and eat it to.” We can’t stop.

There are too many things happening at the same time and very quickly.

In the past a letter took 2 or 3 days to reach its destination; today an email takes a mere 3 seconds.

A few years ago in order to make a phone call we needed to find the nearest pay phone and get a few coins so that we could then establish a connection.

Today, we don’t leave the house without our famous cellphone.

Speaking to our family in another country? We would rarely do it because it was too expensive. Today, we not only speak but we can also see them through the internet.

Everything comes at a price. We are busier and more “stressed” out than ever.
Lots of information in the blink of an eye and in a snap of fingers.

With all of that we lose out in our communication with God, we stop listening to His voice because we are very busy and full of distractions around us.

We need to change this in order to become more beautiful in His eyes my friends.

And for those of you that still don’t know Him but would really like to... Those that haven’t been born of God but would like to...

Come along with us on this next task...

Task #29 for Becoming a Lovelier Woman…

“On Monday we will begin a very special fast. We call it the “Daniel’s Fast.” It will be very different because it won’t be a food fast but  a fast from all sorts of secular information.  During 21 days we won’t be watching television, reading magazines, newspapers, etc. We will dedicate these days to detox ourselves of all this information and get closer to God. We will use our extra time to read the Bible and seek the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our lives. For some it will be their first encounter and for others it will be renewal, but for sure, all of us will be benefitted. During these 21 days, you should access Bishop Macedo’s Blog because we will receive a word to guide us daily.

  1. Most of the time,we get distracted with the things of this world (like you said secular information) that doesn't benefit us at all. Because we are so used to living that way.and worst of all we don't even recognise it.These few days have been a blessing for me l don't miss watching TV etc.before l used to say l don't have enough time to do what l have to do why because l was too involved with the thing of this world. Now l have time to do everything and more.

  3. When I started to do this fast I was shocked to see how much time I was giving to God & to how much time I was giving to the world like; Tv, internet, mobile phone etc.

Because we get so caught up with these things we don't even realize. The 21 Days fast was really needed in my life, I was able to be renewed.

  4. Indeed these fast is a blessing AND I BELIEVE that even after the fast, we will have time for GOD ( to go to church, to read the bible, to meditate in his word etc)
